Swati Maliwal took to the streets last night for a “field trip” to women’s safety.
New Delhi:
Swati Maliwal, chairwoman of the Delhi Women’s Commission, today shared what she described as a “very horrific” confrontation with a drunk driver who dragged her after harassing her on a major Delhi road .
“If my team hadn’t intervened, I would have been the next Anjali,” she told NDTV, referring to the woman who died on New Year’s Day after being dragged 13 kilometers by a car.
Swati Maliwal was allegedly harassed and dragged 15 meters away from the AIIMS hospital in Delhi last night “for a reality check on women’s safety in the capital”.
