At least 30 people were injured when an oil tanker rammed into vehicles on the Navale Bridge in Pune today. An official from the Pune fire brigade said the accident resulted in a collision of 48 vehicles.

Rescue teams from the Pune Fire Brigade and the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority have reached the scene.
According to local media reports, a tanker truck failed its brakes and collided with several vehicles. According to reports, the accident happened at 9pm when the oil spilled onto the road, making it slippery and causing other vehicles to join the chain.

The accident caused a traffic jam on the road leading to Mumbai, which was reportedly jammed for more than 2 kilometers.
The Navle Bridge has become a hotspot for incidents in recent days. A woman was hit and killed by a speeding car near the Outer Ring Road Bridge on Friday.
