India will take on Bangladesh in hopes of getting their T20 World Cup campaign back on track after losing to South Africa in their last match. India have played three matches so far with two wins and one loss. Bangladesh, on the other hand, also won two of their first three matches and lost one. India, which is second in the standings, is higher than Bangladesh due to a higher net run rate. However, the race could be called out as Adelaide experienced heavy rain on the eve of the race.

The Adelaide Oval will host the T20 World Cup Group Stage 2 match between India and Bangladesh.

Both teams are vying to qualify for the semi-finals, so the weather will play a big role in deciding the group.

“Cloudy. Moderate (60 per cent) chance of showers, most likely at night. Southwesterly winds of 20 to 30 km/h,” according to the Bureau of Meteorology, forecast on Wednesday.

The forecast also indicates that temperatures will fluctuate between 10 and 17 degrees Celsius, with 0 to 2mm of rainfall.

India’s practice sessions were also held earlier due to heavy rain in the city.

As things stand, South Africa has topped the list so far with 5 points, followed by India and Bangladesh in second and third place respectively.

Zimbabwe is fourth with three points, while Pakistan is currently fifth with just two points.

The Netherlands are at the bottom of the standings and have yet to register points.
