Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajiwadi Party (SP) leader Mulayam Singh Yadav’s health deteriorated on Sunday and he was moved to Gurugram Medan The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Tower Hospital.

The 82-year-old SP leader was hospitalized for several days but was moved to intensive care after his condition worsened on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav traveled from Lucknow to Delhi as soon as he received news of his father’s health. Mulayam Singh, known as Netaji – founded the Samajwadi Party. He currently represents the Mainpuri constituency of Lok Sabha.

Earlier, Sadhna Gupta, the wife of the Samajwadi party chief, died in July this year.

She is being treated for a lung infection at a private hospital in Gurugram.

Sadhana Gupta is the second wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav. His first wife, Maalti Devi, died in 2003. Maalti Devi is Akhilesh Yadav’s mother.
