KMT MP Supriya Sule performed Garba and Dandiya at the Navratri event in Indapur, Maharashtra today. A video of Ms Sole dancing at the event went viral on social media.
In one of the videos, Baramati MP can be seen dancing with other women in “Chogada” from the movie Loveyatri. Hundreds of women attended the event in Rahwadi, Indapur.
Several of the women were also pictured with Supriya Sule, daughter of NCP chairman Sharad Pawar.
Navratri, the nine-night festival, starts on Monday. During this period, devotees worship the nine images of Goddess Durga and seek blessings for the well-being of their families. Garba and Dandiya are popular dance forms performed in Gujarat and other parts of India during Navratri.
This week, Garba performance videos have become a common sight. Earlier today, industrialist Anand Mahindra shared one such celebration on Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive. A video posted by Mr Mahindra on Twitter showed a jubilant crowd performing Garba and Dandiya as onlookers cheered.
